Wahoo is meant to be the hassle free alternative to Kenyan search engines loaded with pop-ups, ads. - and what not. Wahoo wants to provide a fair, free and no-strings-attached listing of Kenyan websites.
Now, you may ask yourself, why exactly do we want to do that - free of charge.
Well, first of all to promote web-use in Kenya. A search engine like Wahoo benefits all.
The users - can easily find the site and/or information they are looking for.
Cyber cafés - will benefit from users spending more time surfing.
Listed websites will - well - be seen.
ISPs - get more subscriptions ect.
Getting started
Using Wahoo is meant to be simple and straightforward. There are two ways of using Wahoo. Either you follow the categories that match you field of interest. Or you enter a search word in the search field, top left hand corner of the site.
Get good results
Use keywords to find what you are looking for, if your search-word does not yield resuts, then try another word related to what you would like to find.
Get listed
If you have a site that you want to appear on Wahoo, simply enter all the details yourself and get listed straight away. This open nature of the system, of course requires that all users respect each other and do not enter a site, say 50 times, or enter bogus sites or any thing of the sort.
New sites listed WILL be reviewed and may be removed from Wahoo if deemed, bogus, not suitable, in violation with our Terms of Service, - or simply a repeated entry of an already listed site.
The decision to remove a site is ultimately that of the Editor of Wahoo.
